Doctor en Economia i Empresa per la Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Màster en formació del professorat en Educació Secundaria especialitat Economia per la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. Màster en Economia Internacional i graduat en Economia per la Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

La seva activitat d’investigació està relacionada d’una banda per l’economia regional i urbana i per l’altra en l’organització industrial. Entre els seus interessos d’investigació destaquen: determinants de localització empresarial, geografia econòmica, innovació empresarial, productivitat i l’anàlisi de les TIC, focalitzat en la industria del Software i Videojocs.
