Doctor en Economía y Empresa por la Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Máster en formación del profesorado en Educación Secundaría especialidad Economía por la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. Máster en Economía Internacional y graduado en Economía por la Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

Su actividad investigadora está relacionada por un lado con la economía regional y urbana y por la otro en la organización industrial. Entre sus intereses de investigación destacan: determinantes de localización empresarial, geografía económica, innovación empresarial, productividad y el análisis de las TIC, focalizado en la industria del Software y Videojuegos.
