About

The Interdisciplinary Research Group on ICTs (i2TIC) is made up by faculty and researchers from different fields of knowledge and has as its main research goal the interdisciplinary analysis of the determinants and results of the interaction between ICT use and that of information, communication and knowledge flow on individuals and organizations.

Considering ICT as a general purpose technology and the relationship between this technology and information, communication and knowledge flow, i2TIC addresses the interdisciplinary research of:

  • The complementary relationships that outlines ICT use, and information, communication and knowledge flow by individuals and organizations.
  • A set of technological and non-technological determinants that explain the results of ICT personal use and that relating to information, communication and knowledge flow on individuals, organizations and society.

To reach its main goal, i2TIC is developing several research projects under five areas of research.
