Awards:

• Mayte Ballestar, Ángel Díaz, Jorge Sainz and Joan Torrent,  researchers of the i2TIC, receive the Elsevier Best Paper Award in the 2020 ACIEK Conference, for the article “The impact of robotics on manufacturing: A longitudinal machine learning perspectives” (23-24 June).
• Pilar Ficapal-Cusí, Angel Díaz and Joan Torrent-Sellens, researchers of the i2TIC, togheter with Milagros Sáinz, director of the Gender and ICT  (IN3-UOC) receive the Emerald Literati Award for Excellence 2019, in the Outstanding Paper category, for the article “Gender inequalities in job quality during the recession”.
• An article from i2TIC researchers Dario Quiroga and Joan Torrent: ‘Productivity made from innovation: an empirical analysis in Latin America’ received an award certificate for the Best paper on innovation from the Global Conference on Business and Finance Research, 2015.
• Joan Torrent-Sellens, together with nine economists, win the Joan Sardà Dexeus Prize 2011, awarded by the Col·legi d’Economistes for their book “La indústria catalana després de la crisi”
• An article from i2TIC researchers Pilar Ficapal, Joan Torrent and Pilar Curós; ‘IT, human resources management systems and firm performance: An empirical analysis from Spain’ received an award certificate for the Best paper on ICTs and Business from International Conference on Society and Information Technologies, ICSIT, Orlando, 2010.
