Francesc Santanach, from the eLearn Center, and Albert Ariza, from the Technology Area at UOC, together with Jeff Merriman, Dxtera’s CTO, presented the Next Generation Integration Scorecard (NGIS) project which is a methodology to help educational institutions in their digital transformation processes.
The DXtera Academy was held in Indianapolis (USA) from 10 to 12 June this year. Francesc Santanach, representing the eLearn Center, and Albert Ariza, from the Technology Area, were present on behalf of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
DXtera Institute is a non-profit consortium of which the UOC has been a member for a year and a half. The members of DXtera carry out projects in collaboration with the aim of transforming Higher Education by removing the technological barriers presented by the majority of university information systems. The main focus of DXtera is the scalability and integrability of information, and above all access to data. Dxtera is financed by the economic contributions of the members of the consortium, and mainly by Strada, its most important sponsor.
At DXtera Academy, the eLearn Center, together with Jeff Merriman (Dxtera’s CTO), presented the Next Generation Integration Scorecard (NGIS) project which is a methodology to help educational institutions in their digital transformation processes. NGIS provides a set of tools that allow an institution to identify and explain its main functional areas and therefore evaluate both the integrability of new technological solutions and the real cost associated to these educational digital transformation projects.
After the Dxtera Academy, Albert and Francesc moved to Chicago (June 12 and 13) where they had working meetings with DXtera experts to continue advancing in this project.
