MUSSOL welcomes a new predoctoral researcher, Steen Knudsen, holder of a UOC 2023 Grant

From this October, MUSSOL will have the new incorporation of Steen Knudsen, predoctoral researcher of the UOC’s PhD Scholarship program. Steen Knudsen studied Philosophy and Classical Culture at the UAB and was awarded a valedictorial award in the Master’s Degree in Humanities at the UOC, specializing in Contemporary Culture. His final master’s thesis, with the title “The politics of nostalgia: from condemnation to redemption“, was well received at the IV Meeting of the Arts and Humanities Studies, and he already anticipated the lines of research he plans to explore in the future.

After a year as a Màster+ UB scholarship holder in the APORIA group, where he has researched issues involving history and social justice in the framework of the Frankfurt School, he is now starting as a Ph.D. candidate in the MUSSOL group, where he intends to develop his research on the tensions between nostalgia, culture, and political imagination.
