Enric commented that the metaverse has a long way to go and that we have not yet seen its enormous potential. He stated that from education we must be very attentive to the evolution of the metaverse, to be updated and offer the best experience for our students.

“We are moving towards a world with a much more personalized education, this will allow much better results and this will allow you to grow and develop skills much more quickly. We are in a much more demanding environment, where these skills are still to be discovered and the key is the person’s ability to know how to adapt to the environment and here the metaverse plays an important role” commented Serradell.

He also explained that at the UOC there is Immersium Studio, a project that uses virtual and augmented reality and is being used above all to complement skills and help improve competencies in very specialized areas. Serradell gave as an example the field of health, as this can allow surgeons to be trained to perform certain types of operations, in addition to many other things.

Finally, he cited the Second Life platform, created in the year 2023, a pioneering metaverse at a time when no one was yet talking about the concept of metaverse.
