Members

The Management & eLearning research group has a total of 11 academic researchers, of which Dr. Enric Serradell López is the main researcher.

Enric Serradell López

Dr. Enric Serradell López is an economist and professor of Economics and Business Studies at the UOC. He is PhD in Business Management from the UB and is currently Vice-Dean of Emerging Programs, Transfer and University-Business Relations.

His main research interests are business management, e-learning and skills development, problem solving and product innovation and ICT applications in management.

M. Jesús Martínez Argüelles

Dr. María Jesús Martínez Argüelles is Director of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) Economics and Business Studies as well as Associate Professor of the UOC’s Economics and Business Studies.

Her research activity is mainly focused on the study of the reconciliation of work, family and personal life and the role of ICT in this problem, both from the point of view of the experience of workers and organizations.

Amal Elasri Ejjaberi

Dr. Amal Elasri-Ejjaberi focuses on two main areas. Management analysis of sport entities and online higher education. Her research interests include lifelong learning and teaching digital competence in online higher education.

As a researcher, she is a member of the consolidated research group Mel (Management & elearning) at UOC and the consolidated teaching innovation group in Business Organization at Universitat de Barcelona.

Àngels Fitó Bertran

Dr. Àngels Fitó Bertran is Vice Rector of Competitiveness and Employability at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, as well as Associate Professor of Economics and Business Studies at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

The main focus of Àngels Fitó’s research activity is the analysis of business management systems, financial analysis, business ethics and management and e-learning.

Ramon González Cambray

Ramon González Cambray holds a degree in Computer Management Engineering from the University of Lleida, a degree in Market Research and Techniques from the UOC, a master’s degree in Education and ICT from the UOC and is a PhD student in Education and ICT from the UOC.

He is director of the MBA and Global Executive Education programs at the UOC and of master’s and postgraduate projects. He is also a lecturer at the UOC’s Faculty of Economics and Business Studies.

Cintia Pla García

Dr. Cintia Pla García is a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She is director of postgraduate programs in Marketing Management in Consumer Research, Communication and Corporate Image Management and Marketing and Sales Management.

Her research interests are in the area of online learning and consumer behavior, more specifically in online consumer motivations.

Carme Pagès Serra

Dr. Carme Pagès Serra holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), a PhD in Economics from Boston University and is an expert in labor market analysis.

She is a lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies and head of Labor Market Analysis and Forecasting at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Previously, she was head of the Labor Markets Division at the Inter-American Development Bank.

Maria Pujol Jover

Dr. Maria Pujol Jover has been a lecturer at the UOC’s Faculty of Economics and Business since 2006, where she teaches in the quantitative and marketing areas.

Her research focuses on traditional and online consumer behavior, e-government, the management of dependency factors in the elderly, the impact of university studies on the world of work and the application of technology in higher education.

Raquel Ferreras Garcia

Dr. Raquel Ferreras Garcia holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Education and ICT (E-learning) from the UOC. Since 2002, she has been a lecturer at the UOC’s Faculty of Economics and Business Studies in the quantitative teaching area.

His research interests include topics such as entrepreneurial competencies, gamification and innovative tools in online learning, among others.

Jordi Sales Zaguirre

Dr. Jordi Sales Zaguirre holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona (1994) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2002.

He is a member of the Management & E-Learning research group at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and of the research group in Tourism, Hospitality and Mobility IQS Ramon Llull University (URL), where he also teaches Economics, Business Economics and Statistics.

David Roman Coy

Dr. David Roman Coy holds a PhD from UVic-UCC with a specialization in Mobile Marketing and Commercial Promotions, EMBA and Diploma in Marketing Management from EADA, Master in Interactive Digital Communication from UVic-UCC and a degree in Communication Sciences from UAB.

He has worked as a marketing and communication consultant. He is an associate professor and program director at EADA Business School.

Adrià Tuneu Puig

Adrià Tuneu Puig is currently studying a doctorate in electronic commerce in the food sector at the University of Vic. He has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism from the University of Vic, a master’s degree in Digital Marketing from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and an MBA from ENEB.

Currently, he is an assistant in the Management & eLearning (MeL) research group and is also in charge of its communication.
