The number of transfusions performed in hospitals has risen by 15% compared to last year, which means more blood donations are required to meet treatment needs.
Hospitals are now resuming interventions that were suspended because of COVID-19, which is why 1,000 daily donations are needed compared to around 800 a year ago.
At donarsang.gencat.cat, we can see that this figure is not being reached, so we are calling on the UOC community to give blood.
