DT member Begoña Ruiz awarded for her contribution to intercultural mediation in Barcelona

Begoña Ruiz de Infante, member of the DigiTrans Project, has received an award from the Guàrdia Urbana (municipal police) of Barcelona in recognition of her many years of work for intercultural understanding in the Barcelona area. This award underscores Ruiz de Infante’s work in translation, interpreting and intercultural mediation for public services and institutions, especially (but not only) for the Chinese-speaking communities in Barcelona.

Ruiz de Infante also collaborated in the organization of the Lletres Xineses contest organized by DT, by helping to reach out to schools in Barcelona.
