The NODES research group from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya had a prominent role at the conference “The Crossroad of International Environmental Law Enforcement”, which took place on December 2 and 3, 2024, at the UOC headquarters in Barcelona. The event was jointly organized by the UOC and the interest groups of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) on international environmental law and the European and international rule of law. The Nodes research group from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) took an important role in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024, which took place between November 5 and 7, 2024 in the Fira de Barcelona. The team participated in the AccessCat Network stand, which provided researchers with the opportunity to showcase their technologies and accessibility solutions to companies and organizations from around the globe. Last November 18, 2024, the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) successfully celebrated the “Advancing the Institutionalization of Service-Learning (ApS) in Universities”, a key event focused in promoting this educational methodology within Catalan higher education. The session brought together experts, academics, and professionals from the sector in an atmosphere of enriching collaboration and dialogue.

On November 19, 2024, the seminar Critical Cartographies took place, a journey inscribed in the project Digital Cartographies, Cures and Urban Mobility. This is an interdisciplinary project coordinated by Inés Martins and Efraín Foglia , which offered this journey dedicated to exchanging experiences on cartographic practices and fostering subsequent reflection. Throughout the event, approximately 50 attendees participated in a dialogue led by speakers Inés Martins and Efraín Foglia. In January 2024, Professor and researcher Dr. Inés Martins was invited by Dr. Juliana Guimarães Faria, from the Faculty of Letters of the Federal University of Goiás, to carry out a research and teaching stay. As part of this stay, Dr. Martins conducted a seminar on qualitative methodologies applied to the social sciences for students in the doctoral program at the Faculty of Letters, with the inclusion of both deaf and hearing students, as well as the participation of interpreters in the classroom.
