Jairo Sánchez García
Biography:
Jairo Sánchez García (jairosanchezg@uoc.edu) is a predoctoral researcher in the areas of gender studies, LGTBIQ+ studies and sociology and anthropology of the body. Currently, he holds a FPU predoctoral contract (Ref. FPU21/02043) at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), where he conducts his research under the supervision of Begonya Enguix Grau.
The researcher holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Alicante (UA) and a master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Labor and Employment from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).
His work is dedicated to the connections between body, gender and identity in collectives of gender non-conforming males attending to individual and social identity processes, the negotiation of gender and its power relations with other bodies. In addition, he is interested in social networks and female employment.
