Stefano Ciccone

His political engagement is marked by a special commitment on gender issues and gender based violence from a male perspective. On these topics, he contributed to founding the Association Maschile Plurale and he published the book Essere Maschi. Tra potere e libertà and many other essays and articles. A graduate in Biology, he works at the Tor Vergata University in Rome. He is conducting research doctorate in sociology at the University of Genoa on the social representation of men in the processes of change in the roles and sexual identities. He is a member of the scientific committee of the “gender issues” series of the publishing house “Rosenberg & Sellier”. He is a member of the national board at the “equal opportunities” department of the Italian Council Presidency for the national plan against gender-based violence.

El seu compromís polític està marcat per un compromís especial en qüestions de gènere i violència de gènere des d’una perspectiva masculina. Sobre aquests temes, va contribuir a fundar l‘Associació Maschile Plurale i va publicar el llibre Essere Maschi. Tra potere e libertà i molts altres assajos i articles. Llicenciat en biologia, treballa a la Universitat Tor Vergata de Roma. Està realitzant un doctorat en investigació en sociologia a la Universitat de Gènova sobre la representació social dels homes en els processos de canvi de rols i identitats sexuals. És membre del comitè científic de la sèrie “qüestions de gènere” de l’editorial “Rosenberg & Sellier”. És membre del Consell Nacional del Departament de “igualtat d’oportunitats” de la presidència italiana del Consell per al Pla Nacional contra la Violència de Gènere.
