Call For Papers Nodo 30- Possibles

Coincidiendo con el 20 aniversario de la revista, aprovechamos el boletín para anunciar ya los siguientes tres Nodos, que tendrán directa relación con la temática de “Los Possibles” y los diferentes subtemas de la 27a edición del International Simposio que tendrá lugar en Barcelona, evento impulsado por la UOC y Artnodes con el CCCB,  Santa Mónica, MACBA, el apoyo del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona y la Generalitat de Catalunya, así como una extensa red de centros implicados en su desarrollo desde diferentes lugares del territorio.    

ISEA 2022 Barcelona, a partir de las artes, el diseño, las ciencias y las tecnologías que nos rodean, se hace preguntas como: ¿Cómo abrirse a la contingencia, no solo al devenir sino también a su incertidumbre? ¿Cómo dibujar nuevos Posibles por venir, y no solamente confirmar aquellos que están ahí esperando ser confirmados, experimentados y pensados, como Posibles que pueden ser traídos a la existencia en nuestra visión del mundo? ¿Cómo pasar de lo imposible, la fábula o la utopía a ver directamente nuestra realidad?

Estas cuestiones se desarrollan a partir de los diferentes subtemas que se abordarán en el Simposio y que configurarán los próximos monográficos, que por primera vez se publicaran de manera continua:

Humano y no-humano. ¿Qué significa hoy en dí­a ser humano? ¿Cuál es la relación que se establece entre los humanos y las máquinas? Son algunas de las preguntas detrás de este subtema que se centra en los posibles humanos y no humanos que somos, rediseñándonos a nosotros mismos y a las cosas que nos rodean a través de nuevas perspectivas que abren estos Posibles en un mundo inacabado que da forma a nuestra existencia.

Naturalezas y mundos. ¿Cómo entendemos y experimentamos la vida hoy en día? ¿Cómo nos relacionamos con la naturaleza? ¿Cómo luchar contra el cambio climático y el calentamiento global? ¿Cómo transformamos y habitamos nuestro mundo?

Futuros y herencias. Desde el olvido digital y la obsolescencia tecnológica, este subtema avanza y retrocede hacia una arqueología de los medios que sugiere posibles futuros y herencias.

Educaciones y sociedades. ¿Cómo vivir y aprender de la inter/multi/trans/antidisciplinariedad? ¿Cómo integrar las artes en la ciencia y la tecnologí­a y viceversa? ¿Qué experiencias de los centros y programas de producción e investigación de arte y diseño necesitamos conocer y replicar?

Call for papers

Artnodes es una revista que publica su número completo semestralmente, en enero y julio, si bien la publicación de los artículos es on line first o publicación continuada a partir de abril de 2022, es decir, los artículos se irán publicando de forma progresiva a medida que se vayan aceptando.

Las fechas clave son las siguientes:

Fecha límite de entrega para los artículos publicados en el nodo de julio 2022: 15 de abril de 2022.

Fecha límite de entrega para los artículos publicados en el nodo de enero 2022: 15 de julio de 2022.

Fecha límite de entrega para los artículos publicados en el nodo de julio 2023: 15 de enero de 2022.

Entrega de artículos

Para entregar los artículos es necesario registrarse en la web de Artnodes y seguir las instrucciones de uso, así como especificar que el artículo va dirigido a «Node ISEA: Possibles».

Coinciding with the celebration of Artnodes 20th anniversary, we use this Newsletter to announce the next three Nodes, which are related with ISEA’s topic “Possibles” and its subthemes.

The 27th edition of the International Symposium will take place in Barcelona on an event driven by UOC and Artnodes, with the collaboration of CCCB, Santa Mònica and MACBA, the support of Ajuntament de Barcelona and Generalitat de Catalunya.

ISEA 20222 Barcelona is one of the most important annual events worldwide dedicated to the crossroads where art, design, science, technology, and society meet, some of the questions that this theme explores are: How to open towards contingency, not only to the becoming but also its uncertainty? How to draw new Possibles to come, and not just confirming those that are there waiting to be confirmed, experienced and thought, as Possibles that can be brought to existence in our worldview? How to move from the impossible, the fable or the utopia to directly bite into our reality?

These issues are developed from the different subtopics that will be explored in the Symposium and will also shape the next monographics, which for the first time will be published continuously:

Human and no-human. What does it mean  to be a human now? How to develop the interaction between human and machine? These are some of the questions behind this sub-theme that focuses on the possible humans and non-humans that we are, redesigning ourselves and the things around us through new perspectives that open these Possibles in an unfinished world that shapes our existence.

Natures and worlds. How do we understand and experience life nowadays? How do we relate with nature? How to fight climate change and global warming? How do we transform and inhabit our world?

Futures and heritages. From Digital Oblivion and Technological Obsolescence, this sub-theme moves forward and backward to an Archaeology of Media that suggests possible futures and heritages.     

Educations and societies. How to experience and learn from inter/multi/trans/anti-disciplinarity? How to integrate the arts into science and technology and the other way around? What experiences from art and design production and research centres and programmes do we need to be familiar with and replicate?

Call for papers

Artnodes is a journal that publishes its full issue every six months, in January and July, although the publication of the articles is online first or continued publication from April 2022.

Key dates are:

Submission deadline for articles published in the July 2022 node: April 15, 2022.

Submission deadline for articles published in the January 2022 node: July 15, 2022.

Submission deadline for articles published in the July 2023 node: January 15, 2022.

Articles delivery

To deliver the articles, it is necessary to register on the Artnodes website and follow the instructions for use, as well as specifying that the article is addressed to «Node ISEA: Possibles».
