Come and join us on the UOCpèdia!

11/12/2020

The UOCpèdia is a wiki where everyone who works at the UOC can have their say. Help us recount the UOC’s history over the last 25 years in your own words and based on your recollections. Everyone’s welcome!

Were you one of the first people to join the UOC? You’re bound to remember something about the faculties of Psychology and Education Sciences or Economics and Business.

And the buildings we’ve occupied? Maybe you worked at the World Trade Center or Media-TIC? How many anecdotes must they remind you of?

Do you know Pep and Paco? That’s right! They’re some of the many acronyms used here at the UOC. Can you remember any of the others?

Even if you haven’t been here at the UOC all that long, if you’ve got a story to tell, then let us hear it. Don’t be shy, tell us all about it on UOCpèdia!

How can you take part?

  • Leave a comment on the pages of the UOCpèdia and the team behind this project to celebrate our 25th anniversary will add it.

Right now, there are already a number of pages that are ‘under construction’. They’ve been organized into four categories and each month will be adding more!

The early days: Rolling out the Virtual Campus; the UOC’s inauguration, and Manresa, the first of the network of centres

The UOC experience: The summer parties; the meet-ups, and acronyms

Faculties: Faculty of Health Sciences; Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications, and Faculty of Arts and Humanities

UOC centres: Tibi 1, the headquarters; 22@ Poblenou, and the move to Media-TIC

  • Send us your anecdotes, photos or videos using this form.
  • If you want to form part of UOCpèdia’s editorial team and be able to create new pages, register here.
